M.E.D.I.C., Inc. is a medical billing and practice management company that has been assisting healthcare providers achieve their financial goals since 1994, growing from fledgling a company comprised on its two incorporating principals to an efficient, well organized corporation employing over twenty billing staff, among them, certified professional coders, and an attorney. M.E.D.I.C., Inc.’s knowledgeable staff, which has a combined total of over 225 years of practice management and billing experience, regularly attend practice-specific presentations and continuing education seminars sponsored by the medical colleges to which our clients belong and various third party payers with which our clients participate.

M.E.D.I.C., Inc. conducts all financial elements of billing for your practice – both to third party payers and self-pay patients… from the entry of an office-paid co-pay to the oversight of any accounts sent to collection agencies.

Allscripts Professional PM practice management program.
Allscripts recently merged with Mysis, resulting in a company that has a presence in almost 1 in 3 medical practices nationwide, so use of this dynamic PM system will breed familiarity in many provider offices.
Allscripts has received accolades for its systems – most recently, the Allscripts EMR solution was awarded a #1 ranking as “Best in Klas,” and the Allscripts Professional PM received a top 3 ranking.
Allscripts was one of the founding members of the National E-Prescribing Patient Safety Initiative, through which the Allscripts-based e-prescribing software has been made available at no cost for providers with authority to prescribe medications. Of further importance to providers is the fact that Congress recently passed legislation whereby providers utilizing e-prescribing will be paid at a higher rate than those not e-prescribing.

RealMed automates transactions and the exchange of information between providers and payers so that billing errors are caught and corrected online, in real-time, before they become problems.
RealMed has a unique affiliation with CareFirst, which especially benefits those providers in the CareFirst service area (the DC-Metro area), in that RealMed has a direct line into CareFirst, through which claims are filed, adjudicated, and even sometimes paid on the same day, thereby greatly reducing the days in AR/time until payment.
